I have a BA in English Literature from University of the Fraser Valley, and an Editing Certificate from Simon Fraser University. I am a member of Editors Canada. I love books and I can't wait to work on yours.

Developmental Editing
Manuscript Evaluation
A developmental (or structural) edit is typically the first stage in editing a manuscript. It’s a key step in getting the manuscript ready for the next round of editing (stylistic edit).
During this stage, I will look at the manuscript's structure, content, and flow. I will work with you to polish your ideas, identify plot holes, improve character development, and make the story clear and logical. I will help you create a fun and engaging text that resonates with readers.
Cost will depend on project.
A manuscript evaluation is a lighter version of a developmental edit.
Whether you want just a handful of chapters edited, or you want more general feedback on your manuscript, this service could be for you. I won't go in as much depth as I would with a full developmental edit, but I can help you identify bigger issues.
It is a more budget-friendly option, but cost will depend on project and your needs.
Stylistic and Copy Editing
During the stylistic editing stage, I will refine your manuscript to enhance its clarity, flow, and overall style. I will improve word choice, sentence structure, and tone to ensure the writing resonates with your intended audience. The goal is to maintain your author's voice while making the content more engaging and effective.
Copy editing involves checking for any grammar, punctuation, spelling, or consistency errors. During this stage, I will also fact check, when needed, and query any missing information or links.
